Five Senses Garden is an interactive exploration of the human senses using different aspects of nature. Inspired by the simple joys found in your backyard or along a favorite hiking trail, the book invites readers to see, hear, touch, taste, and smell the world around them, as well as the pages of the book. Some spreads include a tactile, interactive feature that speaks to its respective sense, such as a pull out recipe for taste and an actual soft-to-the-touch page. As a robust publishing project, I put emphasis on typography and photo treatment, creating a uniform style that was evocative of the human senses and applicable across diverse spreads.
